AroView: Director Godfrey Reggio follows up KOYAANISQATSI and POWAQQATSI with another spectacular and mesmerizing montage of global imagery, with Philip Glass again providing the musical setting.
Here the underlying perspective is “Life as War”, interpreted on a number of thematic levels of experience, technology and emotion. While less cohesive than its predecessors, the hi-tech eye-candy factor more than compensates, and Glass’s superb score reaches new heights with the help of cello maestro, Yo-Yo Ma.
